As the emotions of muslims are inclined towards Islam we are seeing many groups taken upon themselves to 'convert' others and take dawah to none muslims...
is this due to pure emulation of christian missionaries?

"O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion, Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower."[al-Ma'ida: 54]
Is this a random question or have you been listening to the missionary dawah talk?
In short, yes there are parallels with how the Christian missionaries operated and those involved in such work tend to have lost sight of the fact that the dawah reached other communities at an exponentially greater level when it was backed by jihad and Islamic rule via the state.
I'm Neelu
Im coming across recently a rise in these missionary type of dawah and highly promoted such as IERA and alot of muslims fail to see how these organisations are an obstacle to the dawah to establish the state since they bring in reverts which are appeasing to the masses.
Hence when interaction occurs with these brothers its difficult for them to come on board since they have made their activities priority.
